Wasserlichtkonzerte in Planten un Blomen 2026
What it is
Every evening through the summer, the fountains on the Parksee in Planten un Blomen are played like an instrument — jets, colour and a recorded score, arranged anew each season. The concerts have run since 1953 and are one of the few things in the city centre that cost nothing at all.
Practical
- Season: 1 May to 30 September 2026, every night, holidays included.
- Start: 22:00 from May to the end of August, 21:00 in September.
- Entry is free and there is no booking. Bring something to sit on; the bank fills up on warm evenings.
- The show is called off only in a storm.
Getting there
Planten un Blomen sits between Dammtor and Messehallen. U1 Stephansplatz, S-Bahn/regional Dammtor and U2 Messehallen all leave you a short walk from the Parksee.

Reeperbahn Festival 2026
What it is
For four nights in September, roughly 70 venues around the Reeperbahn in St. Pauli — clubs, churches, theatres, a ferry or two — are handed over to bands almost nobody has heard of yet. It draws around 40,000 people and is as much a music-industry meeting as a festival, with conference programming running alongside the concerts during the day.
Practical
- Dates: Wednesday 16 to Saturday 19 September 2026.
- Where: St. Pauli, on and around the Reeperbahn. One wristband covers every venue.
- Tickets are sold as one-day through four-day passes, with a discount for under-30s. Early-bird pricing starts well below the door price, and the festival sells out most years.
- Venues are small and admission is first-come: plan two or three options per slot rather than one.
Getting there
S-Bahn Reeperbahn and U3 St. Pauli both put you in the middle of it, and both run through the night at weekends.
